Landscape

In my landscape paintings I am creating a sculpted space that draws in the viewer. I use lively and colourful mark making using large watercolour brushes. I think of painting as making dancing lines and planes that describe the shape of the space – dancing tree branches, contours and twisting forms. My mother used to always tell me to ‘make every line beautiful’, and I think of that advice all the time.
