Fish
Growing up in the southwest, I spent every summer sailing and fishing for mackerel with my Dad, so they evoke many happy memories. Fish lend themselves so well to watercolour painting with their beautiful iridescent colours and watery markings. They suit my loose and fluid style of painting. I buy whatever the weekly fish van has that still has a head! I paint it, then eat it for dinner!
